Worth the Drive Sweepstakes Official Rules
How to Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. To enter for a chance to win, go to www.tasteofthesouthmagazine.com/worth-the-drive/ and follow the directions. Limit one entry per e-mail account. Sweepstakes begins 12:01 a.m. Central Time (CST) December 20, 2016, and ends on entry deadline of 11:59 p.m. CST 1/31/2017. All entries must be received by the entry deadline. You may be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails from Sponsor(s) or affiliates of same. Consent is optional and does not affect your eligibility or improve your chances of winning. All entries become the property of Hoffman Media and will not be returned or acknowledged. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal U.S. residents who have reached the age of majority in their state of residency at the time of entry. Employees of Hoffman Media, their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, suppliers, and immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, children and each of their respective spouses) are not eligible. Sweepstakes is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.
Prizes: Two (2) winners will be randomly selected from among all eligible entries. One (1) winner will receive a three (3)-night stay for 2 at The Belmont Charleston, $100.00 restaurant certificate to The Charleston Grill, and 2 treatments at The Spa. (A total value of $2,400.) One (1) winner will receive a three (3)-night stay in a King Suite at the St. James Hotel, Dinner for two (2) at the hotel restaurant. And Tea service for two (2) at the Windsor Court Hotel (A value of $1,500.) Any expenses or costs associated with acceptance, possession or use of the above prize are the responsibility of the Prize Winner. Prize is non-assignable and non-transferable, and no cash in lieu of prize, or exchange or substitution of prize except at discretion of Hoffman Media which reserves the right to substitute a prize with a prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state, and local income taxes on prize are the responsibility of the winner. Winner may be issued a 1099 tax form for the actual value of the prize, and may be required to sign a Release of Liability and/or an Affidavit or Statement of Eligibility. Failure to submit any required documents will result in disqualification.
Drawing and Notification: Winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted under the supervision of representatives of Hoffman Media on or about February 1, 2017 from among all eligible entries. Winner will be notified using the information submitted at time of entry, and must accept prize within 4 days of the date of Sponsors’ first attempt at notification, or Winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. You may request the name of the winner by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your request Worth The Drive Sweepstakes WINNER LIST, attn: Tricia Williams, Hoffman Media, 1900 International Park Drive, Suite 50, Birmingham, AL 35243. Any evidence of tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes will result in disqualification of the individual(s) involved. Sponsors reserve the right to terminate, modify, or suspend Sweepstakes if, for any reason, Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned because of circumstances or causes which in the Sponsors’ sole judgment affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes. If Sweepstakes is terminated or suspended, Hoffman Media reserves the right in its sole discretion to conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries received as of the termination date. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, HOFFMAN MEDIA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
Release of Liability: Hoffman Media is not responsible for inaccurate entry information, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries, or for lost, late, incomplete, mutilated, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries. No mechanical reproductions will be accepted. By submitting an entry, you agree to release Hoffman Media, Sweepstakes promoter, Sweepstakes administrator, any Sponsor(s), and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, parent companies, affiliates, respective owners, and subsidiaries from liability of any kind or nature for any loss, claims, damages, or injuries of any kind associated with participation in the Sweepstakes, or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prizes. Hoffman Media is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the contest offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize.
