Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1 (4-to 5-pound) pork shoulder
- 2 cups chopped yellow onion
- 6 cloves garlic
- ½ cup white wine vinegar
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions
- In a small bowl, stir together sugar, salt, and pepper; rub mixture over pork.
- Transfer pork to a 6-quart slow cooker. Add onion and remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook on high 2 hours. Reduce to low; cook 6 hours more.
