Umm… what if u want to make this in a regular oven because u dont have the convienience of a dutch oven??
Hi Jeanette! Thanks for asking. A dutch oven is a large cast iron pot; so, if you don’t have one, you can use a large stock pot.
Can you do it like the Mac’N’Cheese in the box when you boil the noodles?
Hi Ashley! Yes, you can do that. Thanks!
I dont have any unsalted butter can i use margerine
Yes! Margarine should work just fine.
Can you use cornstarch instead of flour
Hi Jody, sorry for the delay getting back to you. You can definitely use cornstarch. Omit flour and heat milk, salt, pepper… Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2-3 tablespoons cold milk. Whisk into hot milk mixture and cook, whisking constantly, until thickened. (probably 2 to 3 minutes).
If it’s not thick enough, add more cornstarch. Just dissolve it in cold milk before adding to the hot milk. Hope this helps!
Can you make this dish in crockpot?
