Cream Cheese Frosting
 
Makes about 7 cups
Ingredients
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 7½ cups confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream cheese, butter, and salt at medium speed until creamy, 3 to 4 minutes. Beat in vanilla. Gradually add confectioners’ sugar, beating until smooth. Use immediately.
