How to Carve a Turkey

Carving a turkey is easy, but who needs the pressure of carving at the dinner table? Present your beautiful bird to your guests, then whisk it away to the kitchen for carving.

 

Step 1: With a sharp carving knife, make a long vertical slice down one side of breastbone to separate turkey breast from bone. Slice horizontally at base of breast; remove breast with skin intact. Repeat on opposite side. Turkey-Carving-Step-1

 

Step 2: Slice breast horizontally against the grain to desired thickness. For drumsticks and wings, use your hands to gently loosen joints. Slice between joints to remove drumsticks and wings from turkey.
