Step One

Here's a helpful hint that will help you avoid tearing up bar cookies or fudge when removing them from pans and will make cutting a cinch — - not to mention the easy cleanup! Simply line pans with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Follow the recipe for baking the bar cookies or for making the fudge. When the bar cookies are cooled or the fudge is set, use the foil as handles to lift the food out of the pan. Then, peel the foil away from the sides of the food. If the edges of the food are a little overdone or are not attractive, trim them away and then cut into desired shapes.
