A Season to Grill

Eighteen months of backyard barbecues, tailgating parties, rooftop grilling, and lots of bad weather resulted in a book chock-full of easy grilling recipes from all over the United States. Here are a few of our favorites.

Grilling Tips

• When shopping for a grill, check out the number of pre-assembled parts that are included. The fewer you have to put together, the better quality the grill.

• Adding smoke enhances the flavor of grilled food. For a charcoal grill, soak wood chips in water for 30 minutes to 1 hour. When the charcoal is ash gray, drain chips and place a handful over the coals. Add more chips every hour.
