Yield: 8 to 10 servings

1 (8-ounce) round of Brie
3 tablespoons butter
1 large pear, sliced
2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons pear vinegar
¼ teaspoon salt

1. Preheat oven to 350°.

2. Place Brie in an ovenproof dish. Bake until Brie is softened, 15 to 20 minutes.

3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add pear slices to butter. Cook until pears begin to turn translucent along edges, 2 to 3 minutes. Add brown sugar, vinegar, and salt to pan, stirring to combine. Cook until sauce begins to reduce, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour over hot Brie. Serve immediately with gingersnaps.
