Yield: 8 to 10 servings
1(1.5-ounce)package dry shrimp boil
¼ cup liquid shrimp boil
1 onion, peeled and cut in half
2 lemons, cut in half
5 pounds new potatoes
6 ears corn, shucked and cut in half
1 pound hickory-smoked sausage, such as Conecuh, cut into 3-inch pieces
5 pounds large fresh shrimp
1. In a 30-quart pot with a removable basket, bring 15 quarts water to a boil over high heat. Place dry shrimp boil, liquid shrimp boil, onion, and lemons in the basket, and add to pot. Add potatoes, and return to a boil. Cook for 10 minutes. Add corn and sausage, and return to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes. Add shrimp, and cook for 2 minutes. Remove basket from pot, and serve immediately.
