Bacon-Balsamic Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Yield: 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and cut in half
- 1⁄2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1⁄4 cup balsamic glace, such as Colavita
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add bacon, and cook until crisp, approximately 6 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon, and let cool. Crumble, and set aside. Reserve rendered bacon fat in pan.
- Add Brussels sprouts to pan, and cook until crisp and browned on the outside and tender throughout, approximately 10 minutes. Add parsley, balsamic glaze, lemon zest, salt, and pepper; stir to combine. Spinkle with bacon.

Nancy, balsamic glaze is just a balsamic reduction. For this recipe we used Colavita’s Balsamic Glace. You can find it in the grocery store next to balsamic vinegar.
